North Tonawanda Fire Hall
The City of North Tonawanda was so pleased with the Spray Foam Roofing installed at their Water Treatment Facility Roofs that they specified a Spray Foam Roof for their fire hall that had a 20+ year old Built-Up roofing system that had outlived its useful life.
After the gravel was removed, all roof felt blisters were repaired in preparation for the foam application. A seamless layer of 1-1/2" thick foam was applied to the roof surfaces. Additional foam was sprayed in the low areas and between the drain lines for form a "cricket" to ensure proper water drainage. Two coats of silicone coating were then added and a layer of ceramic granules was embedded into the top layer of wet coating for additional wear resistance and to meet UL-790 codes.
The completed Spray Foam Roofing far exceeded the North Tonawanda Fire Chief and City Officials expectations and they were extremely pleased with the fact that it did not disrupt the operation of the Fire Hall during the installation process. The City Engineers stated that they will use this system on additional roofs as they require replacement in the future.
