Stritt & Priebe Warehouse Insulation - Rochester, NY
Stritt & Priebe, known for being specialists in industrial valves, pipe, flanges, fittings and instruments had outgrown their Buffalo facility and were looking to expand into the Rochester market.
They found an old 24,800 s/f warehouse in Rochester but the building had no insulation. They began their search for the best way to insulate this old building and after researching various companies and products, they decided that Spray Foam and Intumescent "Thermal Barrier" coatings would best suit their needs. United Thermal Systems was consulted to evaluate their needs and make recommendations to provide the best value for their money. After proposing the wall sealing and insulation with 2" spray foam, they decided to proceed with the project. Besides the insulation value they were receiving, their facility would be "brighter" due to the White Fire Barrier coating that would be applied after the foam installation to meet NYS Building Codes.
The application was performed during the winter in an unheated building using a special blend of "Arctic" grade polyurethane foam that allowed the foam application to be performed in temperatures as low as 20 deg. F allowing this project to move forward so they could meet their construction completion deadline.
They are very happy with the completed project and the way that the closed-cell foam met their insulation needs.
